Annie Finch's book of poems, Eve, appeared from Story Line Press in Spring 1997, and her poems have been published in The Paris Review, The Kenyon Review, Southwest Review, Agni, Puerto del Sol, and other journals. Editor of two anthologies, A Formal Feeling Comes: Poems in Form by Contemporary Women (Story Line, 1994) and After New Formalism (Story Line, forthcoming), she has written a book of literary theory, The Ghost of Meter: Culture and Prosody in American Free Verse (Michigan, 1993). She is now translating the works of French Renaissance poet Louise Labe and working on a CD-ROM version of Eve. Currently on the creative writing faculty at Miami University in Ohio, she earned her B.A. at Yale and her doctorate at Stanford University.
