The DEA2 is committed to both serving as a platform for new scholarship and to encouraging work that takes advantage of the recent opening of Dickinson’s vast archives via the medium of the web. Here, the manuscript images that accompany the printed transcriptions of Dickinson’s poems do not function as decorative illustrations, but, rather, as one especially fecund ground for understanding her textscapes and soundscapes as they reverberate in the larger environments surrounding them.
